⚡ CHAPTER III — The Banquet and the Betrayal
"What was created in harmony... was destroyed by suspicion. And while the gods looked to the sky, true danger walked at their feet."
For seven days and seven nights, Hypnos, Aphrodite, Hygeia and Theia celebrated their creation with an unparalleled banquet.
But at dawn on the eighth day… the Ineffable disappeared .
There was no fight.
There were no forced doors.
There were no witnesses.
Just the echo of a whisper.
The gods looked at each other.
And what was once unity turned into distrust.
“This can’t be,” Hygeia said.
"No mortal may enter here," Theia stated.
"So it's just us," Hypnos muttered.
"Are you suggesting that one of us..." Aphrodite's voice trembled.
Theia doubted Hypnos.
Hypnos suspected Aphrodite.
Aphrodite distrusted Hygeia.
And Hygeia, in silence, watched Theia.
The gods were divided.
The harmony was broken.
The Ineffable was still missing…
And nobody thought about him.
Nobody remembered the satyr.
To the one he loved in secret.
To the one who was despised.
To the one who was humiliated.
Marsyas.
He was not invited to the banquet.
He was not considered worthy.
But he waited.
And when everyone was celebrating… he stole .
